Beginning can be the hardest step of what I do. I sketch and sketch, erase and change lines. I begin again and again taking elements from sketches I like to create a new design until I am finally satisfied.
This little commission is for a patron that loves Art Deco (me too!), only to discover it was not her vision of deco, apparently it was my vision of deco. Stay tuned to the next blog post to see the design and colors she chose.
