Jim Congleton Commission

In the beginning … it’s all about a really big blank sheet of paper and some of the most beautiful mouth-blown, hand-made glass on Earth.

Pattern ready for cutting. Using a few bevels to highlight the design. I have been saving this Freemont Glass for over 30 years because it was just to beautiful to cut.

This beautiful Pilkington bubble glass is no longer available. So glad I saved a sheet to add to this contemporary design.

This glass has been in my collection a very long time. When I made this design, I was so glad I still had 2 sheets of Jim Fremont’s glass. I have been waiting years to create This ….

Cutting of glass is complete and let the Traditional Leading Technique begin.

ArtWalk tonight: always the 2nd Friday of every month from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Stop by to check out my latest commission before it is installed.

If you have a window that opens to nothing but darkness, consider glass that holds color verses transparent glass that requires sunlight to reflect the color.
